Give the people you support a head start on every new role

University careers services, outplacement programmes, coaching practices and employment support charities all run into the same problem: a role may have been open on the employer's own site before it reaches a major job board. FirstPost was designed to solve that delay. It monitors employer career pages and public job boards, then tells your people about relevant roles the day they appear.

What FirstPost is, in one paragraph

FirstPost is a personalised job alert service. It monitors over 200,000 companies across employer career pages, spanning more than 30 applicant tracking systems, plus more than 25 national and public job boards, and holds more than 2 million live roles. Each person sets their own job titles, industries, seniority, work arrangement and location. An email is sent when new matches are found, and the dashboard updates as matching roles appear. It is operated by FirstPost Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17364818).

Who this is for

University careers services

Give students and recent graduates a job search that keeps working between appointments, and stop the "I only found out when it closed" conversation.

Outplacement and redundancy support

Add a live, personalised feed of new vacancies to the CV and interview support you already provide, so leavers spend their time applying rather than searching.

Career coaches and CV consultants

Move vacancy hunting out of paid sessions, so clients can bring current matching roles into the conversation and spend the hour on strategy and applications.

Employment support charities

For teams helping people back into work after redundancy, service, caring, prison or displacement, where the search itself is often the hardest part.

What the people you support actually get

Roles at the source

FirstPost checks employer career pages as well as public job boards. A role on an employer's own site may reach your people before a larger aggregator lists it.

Filtered to their criteria

Each person sets their own titles, industries, seniority, work arrangement and location, and can upload a CV to suggest those settings. Alerts are filtered using those criteria.

One scheduled alert

When new roles are found, they arrive in one scheduled email rather than a stream of notifications.

How access codes work

Access codes are the mechanism we use to give a group free Pro without anyone handing over a card.

We issue you a batch

You tell us how many people and for how long. We generate the codes and send them to you. A code can be single use, so you hand one to each person, or shared with a cap on total redemptions.

Your people redeem them

They enter the code when they sign up, or follow a link with the code already attached. No card, no payment details, no checkout. Their free Pro period starts immediately.

Access ends gracefully

When the period is up they move to the free Starter plan automatically. They keep their account, their preferences and their alerts, just on a smaller monitored set.

How we work with organisations

There is no fixed list price, because a careers service running a cohort of 400 and a solo coach with a dozen clients are not the same conversation. In practice it tends to follow one of three shapes.

RouteWhat it looks likeUsually suits
Taster codes A small free batch so you can put it in front of real people before committing to anything. Any organisation that wants evidence before a procurement conversation
Funded pilot A defined cohort for a defined period, funded by you, with a review at the end. Careers services, outplacement programmes, larger charities
Ongoing partnership A standing allocation of codes you draw down as new people join your programme. Organisations with a continuous intake rather than an annual cohort

Smaller practices, and individual coaches in particular, often prefer to skip all of that and simply ask for a few codes to try with clients. That is fine. Tell us roughly how many people you support and we will tell you what we can do.

Why not just point people at the big job boards?

You already do, and they already use them. The gap FirstPost fills is timing and noise.

Frequently asked questions

We issue you a batch of access codes. Each code grants the person who redeems it a set period of free Pro, and you decide how to distribute them. A person enters their code during signup, or follows a link with the code already attached. Nobody has to enter card details to redeem a code.

There is no fixed list price for organisations. We usually start with a small free batch of codes so you can try it with real people, then agree a funded pilot for a defined cohort and period. Smaller practices such as individual career coaches often prefer to start with a handful of codes and no commitment. Tell us the size of your group and we will quote.

They revert automatically to the free Starter plan and keep receiving daily alerts on a smaller monitored set. Nothing is cancelled, no card is charged and they are not locked out of their account or their history.

No. Redeeming a code requires no card and no payment details. FirstPost also has a free Starter plan with no card required and no trial period, so people you support still receive daily alerts once their code period has ended.

No. FirstPost does not place candidates, does not take a fee from employers and does not pass anyone's details to recruiters. It surfaces publicly advertised vacancies from monitored sources and sends people to apply on the employer's own site.

Yes, at cohort level. Alongside how many of your codes have been redeemed, every alert email asks the person how their search is going, with answers ranging from "not great" to "I got a job". We can report that back for your group as aggregate figures: how many are responding, how the mix is moving and how many have told us they have landed a role. What we do not hand over is an individual's searches, applications, CV or feed, because that is their personal data and they signed up as the account holder. If you need outcomes tied to named people, that needs their consent and is worth agreeing before a pilot starts.

FirstPost is operated by FirstPost Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17364818. It was founded in April 2026 by two former Plymouth University students. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the privacy policy sets out how personal data is handled.
