For teams helping people back into work
Whether you support people after redundancy, after service, after caring, after prison or after arriving in a new country, finding relevant open roles takes time away from the rest of the work. FirstPost monitors those roles and sends a short scheduled email when new matches are found.
The short version
FirstPost is a personalised job alert service. A person sets their job titles, industries, seniority, work arrangement and location. FirstPost checks over 200,000 companies across employer career pages and more than 25 national and public job boards, then sends an alert when new roles match. There is a free plan with no card and no trial period, so nobody you support loses access when a code period ends. Access codes grant a period of free Pro on top of that. The site and signup flow are available in eight languages.
Why this audience in particular
There is a free floor
The Starter plan needs no card and does not expire. Whatever happens to funding, a code period or a caseworker relationship, the person keeps receiving alerts. We think that matters more here than in any other setting.
No CV required to start
Uploading a CV is optional and only suggests job titles. Someone can set preferences by hand, and their first alert is sent after the feed is ready. They do not need to finish a CV before setting up the search.
Eight languages
English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. For teams supporting displaced people, a job search that is not conducted entirely in a second language removes one real barrier.
Roles beyond office work
A lot of job search tooling quietly assumes a graduate professional user. The employers monitored here include large retail, logistics, care, hospitality, manufacturing and public sector organisations, and FirstPost also reads national and public job boards. Someone can filter by seniority so entry level roles are not buried beneath senior ones, and by work arrangement so shift or on site work is prioritised over remote roles they cannot take.
If your team works with service leavers specifically, our military to civilian trade translator maps Army, RAF and Royal Navy trades to the civilian job titles employers actually advertise. It is a free page with no account needed, and it is a useful thing to work through in a session.
What we can and cannot give you
| Can | Cannot |
|---|---|
| Issue access codes granting free Pro for a set period | Give caseworkers a view into an individual's account |
| Report codes redeemed and cohort-level check-in answers, including how many report finding work | Report on a named individual's outcomes or applications without their consent |
| Supply codes as single use or shared with a redemption cap | Guarantee vacancies in a specific town or sector |
| Move people onto the free plan when a code expires, rather than cutting them off | Provide advice, guidance or casework. That is your job, not ours |
Frequently asked questions
Yes. FirstPost has a free Starter plan with no card required and no trial period. On top of that, we can issue your organisation access codes granting a set period of free Pro, which widens the number of employers monitored. When a code period ends the person moves back to the free plan automatically rather than losing their account.
The site and the signup flow are available in eight languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. This matters for teams supporting displaced people and recent arrivals, who are often navigating a job search in a second or third language.
No. A CV upload is optional and simply suggests job titles automatically. Someone with no CV can set their job titles, industries, work arrangement and location by hand and receive the same daily alerts. This is deliberate, because requiring a polished CV before a person can even see what is available puts the hardest step first.

No. FirstPost does not sell personal data, does not take fees from employers and does not pass anyone's details to recruiters. People apply on the hiring employer's own site. This is a deliberate difference from job boards funded by recruiter access.
Not their account, no. Each person's searches, CV and matches are their personal data. For funder reporting we can share cohort-level figures: how many of your codes have been redeemed, and how people are answering the check-in in their alert emails, which includes an "I got a job" option. That is usually the exact outcome measure a funder asks for, and it does not require handing over anyone's individual activity.
